As part of the Small Cities of Character, the municipality of Batz-sur-Mer has made realize a «plan cavalier». The cavalier plan offers a vision of the city in three dimensions. The houses, buildings, public spaces and green spaces are reproduced very finely. The cavalier plan mixes the cadastral plan, the contour lines and the facades of each building, in an aerial perspective where all the parts are drawn on the same scale. The cavalier plan of Batz-sur-Mer was realized by Damien CABIRON (https://damiencabiron.fr/planscavaliers).

The geographical configuration of the town, territory along, salt marshes in the North, ocean in the South and distant salt-water villages, but also the will to control the financial cost of this tool led the town to make the choice to represent the center-village, going up to the marsh and down to the ocean, and to make realize in medallion the village of Kervalet, more ancient and more typical.
A grant was obtained from the DRAC for an amount of € 3,190 as part of the program of digitization and enhancement of cultural content (PNV 2021).
A subsidy under the urban development scheme of the PCC of the Pays de la Loire Region has been requested for an amount of € 4,350 (agreement of the Permanent Commission on November 19, 2021).
Future uses of the cavalier plan
This great communication tool will be used:
