Informations on the tourist tax
The tourist tax is collected by the accommodation hosts which are located in a tourist station, like the one of Batz-sur-Mer, from their customers.Through this tax, visitors contribute for the development of the tourist resort in terms of entertainment, maintain of the living environment, especially for cleanliness and safety.
The tourist tax must appear on the rental contract, appear separately on the bill at the end of the stay and be displayed on the place of accommodation.
All owners of self-catering accommodation must obtain their unique registration number, which is mandatory in order to publish their rental offers on online booking platforms, such as Airbnb, Abritel, etc.
The following prices are by night and by person, except for the motor home camping places and touristic parking areas per 24 hours :

| Campsites and caravan pitches 5, 4 or stars tourism and any other site of outdoor accomodation site, with similar caracteristics | 0.60€ |
| Campsites and caravan pitches 2 and 1 stars tourism and any other site of outdoor accomodation site, with similar caracteristics, ports | 0.20€ |
| Motor home camping places and touristic parking areas per 24 hours | 0.60€ |
| Every accomodation waiting for a rank or those without rank, except for outdoor accomodation sites | 2% (of the price for a night, per person and per night - maximum : 2.30€) |
Exemptions :
- Children under 18 years old
- Workers with seasonal jobs (with supporting documents)
- People eligible to an emergency accomodation, or a temporary rehousing,
- People in accomodation which rental is less than 50 euros per month
