Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture (MJC)

The MJC (Youth and Culture Center) aims to develop physical, artistic, and social activities and to offer various programs that promote personal growth and participation in community life.
The MJC is a HOME for EVERYONE: as a HOME, it aims to be friendly and welcoming. It is open to EVERYONE, regardless of age, gender, race, or background. Its strength lies in the diversity of its members: it is a place for connection and exchange.
Being a member of the Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture also means participating in the center’s operations.
The MAISON DES JEUNES ET DE LA CULTURE DE LA BAULE is a non-profit organization under the 1901 law, accredited by the Secretariat for Youth and Sports and affiliated with the Federation of Maisons des Jeunes et de la Culture.
It is governed by a board of directors composed of ex officio members (the City of La Baule, the Federation of MJC, the Secretariat for Youth and Sports), associate members, and members of the General Assembly.
ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
• Year-round classes:
- Children’s dance: early exposure, beginner, jazz, hip-hop, classical
- Teen dance: Zumba, jazz, hip-hop, aerial dance (trapeze and rope)
- Adult dance: Zumba, jazz, modern dance, Reggaeton, Hip-Hop, aerial dance, stretching, and classical barre
- Theater for children, teens, and adults
- Visual arts (ages 16 and up): Drawing/coloring, painting, watercolor, life drawing/technical sessions, sculpture, and voice
