NIGHTS OF READING "Cities and countryside"

READING OUT LOUD
The city and the countryside: from opposition to interdependence
Thursday, January 22 at 7 PM
Espace Petit Bois

On the national theme "Cities and countryside", the association "Les Amis de la Gède" proposes a literary journey to trace the relations between the city and the countryside by asking how they have evolved from opposition to interdependence.
Originally, the countryside was depicted as a bucolic refuge and the city as a place of alienation or perdition, but gradually the authors have written stories that testify to a better balance. In the form of readings aloud, the members of the
"Friends of the Gède" will show how literature can account for this evolution, and how the reciprocal imagination could be built and transmitted through their respective representations.
