Chapel of Saint-Marc de Kervalet, every day from 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm during "The Art of chapels"

Meeting between contemporary art and heritage, the 19th edition of «Art at the Pleasure of Chapels» invites you to an original discovery of the Guérande peninsula to admire the works of 25 artists exhibited in 14 chapels. The chapel of Saint-Marc de Kervalet will welcome the watercolorist Didier Georges. The artist likes to play with light on his paintings: «the best way to emphasize this light is with strong shadows», he explains. His watercolors, often monochrome, are a subtle interplay between shadow and clarity. “My watercolors are often said to be full of life. I like that a landscape is animated, not only by the beauty of the place, but also by the life that reigns there. I love people, I like to paint their attitudes and convey the tenderness that emerges from certain scenes of everyday life. Today, at 66 years old, my painting helps me to preserve this part of carelessness, my soul of fant continues to blow in my ear that life is beautiful. Didier Georges invites you to discover his artistic universe: welcome to his world.
