HERITAGE PASSION: Meeting Gildas Buron and Michaële Simonnin
Saturday, November 8 from 2 PM to 8 PM
Streets of the town center, Petit Bois park and Village hall
The Association of Companions of the Memory of Regained Time (ACMTR), in partnership with the Celtic Circle of Salt Workers, the Saline Nights, the Society of Friends of Le Croisic and the Society of Friends of Guérande invite the population to share during an after-convivial noon, the testimony of recognition that the associations - having worked and established close and friendly relations with them - want to give to Gildas and Michaële.
The objective is to salute their tireless research work and their numerous and very rich publications which constitute a remarkable contribution to the knowledge and dissemination of it in the different fields explored: history of the territory, history of the salt marshes and the salt trade, history of the Breton language, architectural and cultural heritage, costumes, headdresses, dances, music and songs, study of the origin of proper names and place names...
On the program:
• From 2pm to 3.30pm: musical and dancing stroll behind the carriage in which Gildas and Michaële will have taken place, in the streets of the city: from the Cathedral square to the Petit Bois via the train station, the park Jean and Soizik Fréour and the beach Saint-Michel. The population is invited to join the procession throughout the route.
• From 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM: round table on the forty years of professional life of Gildas and Michaële dedicated to the knowledge and preservation of the history and salicole, cultural and architectural heritage of the territory of the Guérande Peninsula.
• From 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM: visit time of the exhibition which will allow to illustrate the different aspects of their work, by highlighting in particular the preservation and enrichment of the collections of the museum of salt marshes of which they have been the curators for forty years and whose constant action over time and always demanding has led to obtaining the label Musée de France.
• From 7pm to 8pm: wine of honor offered by the town hall.
