After the defeat of Napoleon's troops, European armies invaded France. The Prussians occupied the Loire Inférieure region during the summer, notably Batz and Le Croisic. The population had to accommodate several hundred soldiers. Jean Bourgeon has conducted extensive research on the subject in our department. He gives us a detailed account of these forgotten events, which reveal the difficult living conditions on our peninsula...
