Thursday 11 August at 9pm at Eglise Saint-Guénolé
Concert " Trio Puku Puku " : Sacred songs from the Andes and music from Brittany
FREE
ALL PUBLIC
An event co-organised by the town of Batz-sur-Mer, the Salt Marshes Museum - Cap Atlantique and the Saint-Yves de la côte sauvage Parish, as part of the ¡Salt Peru! cultural season, which accompanies the exhibition "The salt of the Incas", produced by the Salt Marshes Museum and visible until 6 November 2022.
This concert offers us an original dialogue between the Andean and Celtic cultures, with, as an international guest, the soprano Sylvia FALCÓN, who has come specially from Peru for the occasion, accompanied by Clotilde TROUILLAUD on the Celtic harp and Erwann TOBIE on the diatonic accordion.
Sylvia Falcón - the nightingale of the Andes...
Sylvia Falcón is an avant-garde and innovative singer. Her approach oscillates between the traditional music of the Peruvian Andes, mixed melodies and the diversity of electronic and urban sounds. She performs on the biggest stages in Peru and is an ardent campaigner for the teaching and dissemination of the Quechua language. Sylvia Falcon is now THE Peruvian soprano, as comfortable with opera and rock as with the huayno, the melancholic song of the Andes. Today she is the great figure of the "coloratura andina", a true and worthy heir to the great diva Ima SUMAQ.
.... dialogue with Celtic culture
Coming from traditional Breton music, the Morbihan harpist Clotilde TROUILLAUD has an international reputation. Initially launched as a solo artist, in 2016 she founded "Lune Bleue", a harp/drums/guitar trio offering rock, jazz and traditional inspired compositions.
For his part, Erwann TOBIE is considered as one of the spearheads of the diatonic accordion in Loire-Atlantique. In a rich and colourful style of his own, he has a keen sense of melody and accompaniment. His career has led him to collaborate with the singer Yann-Fañch Kemener and various artists from traditional, jazz and classical music.
