MEETING WITH AUTHORS by Les Amis de la Gède

The association "Les Amis de la Gède" invites you to a dialogue between two authors: Christine LEPRINCE and Inès CASTRO, on the theme "Chemins d'espoir: elles écrivent la mémoire des exilés". In her book "Anita raconte: sur les traces d'une émigration espagnole (1906-1928)", published in November 2022 by L'Harmattan, Christine LEPRINCE tells the story of her Spanish family's exile at the beginning of the 20th century, combining her mother Anita's account with the fictional voice of her grandfather. Through her own life, she translates the indelible marks left by uprooting and the weight of war. Inès CASTRO has transcribed, in "Little Red Spaniard", her book published by Arche in January 2023, the diary of the appalling years of a teenager: her father, swept up in the turmoil of the Spanish War and then the Second World War. A deeply moving and heartfelt family story, left unfinished.
